Catherine R. "Rosann" Dicks

Catherine “Rosann” (Sills) Dicks, 85, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was born on February 11, 1933 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Ben and Flora Bush.

She married Charles Sills in 1950 and was a member of the Eastern Star. She later married John T. Dicks and moved to Elkhart. While in Elkhart, she was employed by several manufactured housing companies as an office manager. She was proudest of her roll establishing the corporate office of Four Seasons Housing.

She is survived by her husband, John; brother, Ben Bush; two daughters, Karen Sills of Lafayette and Lisa (Brian) Ridenour of Elkhart; son, John Dicks; grandchildren, Michael Wolf, Jonathan Dicks, Tyler Dicks, and Josh Ridenour; and great grandchildren, Kendoll and Tiffany Ridenour. Also surviving are her very special friends, Jim and Linda Bergan and Jesse and Donna Rex.

Rosann had a zest for life. She loved to go shopping, estate sales, decorating homes, and card playing. She was always up for an adventure. She had a deep love for family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Charles “Chuck” Sills.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 with a memorial service officiated by Father Bob Van Kempen to follow at 3:00 p.m.
