Ms. Casey Lee “Sparkles” (Kile) Butler; beautiful daughter, mom, sister and friend, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:28 am from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident just outside of Niles, Michigan. She was 35. Casey was born in Elkhart on October 4, 1985 to Stephen D. “Steve” and Dixie L. (Casey) Kile of Edwardsburg, Michigan and is survived by her loving children Aubrey and Benny Butler of Elkhart.
Casey is also survived by her sister Baylee (Bryce Williams) Kile of Mishawaka and her ex-spouse Adam Butler, who is the father of the children; as well as a host of loving extended family, friends, co-workers and colleagues.
On Saturday, March 27, 2021, Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be hosting Casey’s memorial celebration of life from 12 noon until 3 pm. While there will be no formal services, friends and family may share memories of Casey at an open microphone.
Casey was blessed to be the sunshine in the lives of many, but never more so than in the lives of family and her children. She loved her children dearly and afforded them every opportunity to live happy, healthy and meaningful lives. She played an active role with her kids, and it would show because she could sing just about any Disney song you’d ever want to hear. She also enjoyed holidays because it gave her an excuse to slow down a bit, come home and spend some time with her parents, children, sister, and brother-in-law . She would tell you it was only because SOMEone had to organize the dinner and everything, but secretly, it was because Casey cherished being with those she loved.
While she was currently employed as a financial representative, most would recognize her smiling face from the Emergency Department as an admissions tech or behind an admitting kiosk at Elkhart General Hospital, where she worked for over 15 years. Beautiful, vivacious, outgoing and just plain fun to be around, Casey made friends easily and enjoyed being around people. And if work was done and the kids were taken care of, Casey would assume her alter-identity of “Sparkles”, the fun-loving “bling” queen who enjoyed going out with friends, attending concerts and taking glamorous selfies.
Casey loved all types of music, especially folk and contemporary pop. She also enjoyed butterflies, reading, doing cross-stitch, watching reality TV and chilling with her bulldog, Frank. While most will agree that Casey is finally at rest, others will argue that she’s up in Heaven even now making all sorts of new friends, re-connecting with some old ones and dancing to Britney Spears. We’d like to believe it’s the latter!
Work it, Girl.
Memorial donations made in Casey’s name will be given to Casey’s parents Steve and Dixie Kile. The donations will be deposited into an account for Aubrey and Benny.
