Benjamin Lee "Ben" Wright

Mr. Benjamin Lee “Ben” Wright, 47, of Edwardsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. 

Ben was born on August 22, 1976 in Elkhart to the late Kevin A. and Brenda K. (Baker) Pontius, who precede him in death along with his brother Jacob R. Wright.  

Surviving Ben is his brother, Dustin E. Wright of Buchanan, Michigan; his sister Danielle L. (Ryan) Erb of White Pigeon; and his favorite (and only) niece Everly Erb, who resides at home, also in White Pigeon. Additionally, Ben will be missed by a loving host of friends.

In accordance with Ben’s wishes, no immediate services have been planned and Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart are assisting the family with arrangements.

Ben was a forklift operator by trade and was working in the plastics industry at the time of his passing. He had quite a love for the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and target shooter.

He was also into martial arts and was a huge Bruce Lee fan; and also maintained a rather large freshwater fish aquarium. He enjoyed spending time watching Michigan football and cooking Italian food.
