Anthony Wayne “Tony” Grant, 30, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident in LaGrange County on Friday, October 27, 2023. He was born in Elkhart on August 9, 1993, to Greg (Lisa Teeple) Grant and Jennifer (Jeremy Edgington) Grant who both survive him.
Tony is also survived by his children, Austin and Mason Rosezelle; best friend and mother of his children, Miranda Mikel; brothers, David Schieber and Joshua (Angelina Bravo) Grant; sister, Cristina Grant; maternal grandmother, Darlene Trapp; grandfather, James Obrien; nieces, Danae Schieber, Hallee Schieber, Alizza Schieber, Addison Ward, Paisley Schieber; nephews, Braxton Grant, Lennox Grant, Dominic Morales, and Liam “Louis” Morales; and faithful canine companions, Reggie and Bolt. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Trapp.
A visitation will take place on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Clay Powell of Elkhart City Church officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial donations may go to a charity of the donor’s choice or to the family to help alleviate funeral expenses.
Tony worked as a press operator for Elkhart Hinge. He had an amazing sense of humor with a smile that could light up a room. Tony was the “fun parent” and he enjoyed Disc Golfing, Kayaking, and sharing his love of sports with his kids. In his spare time, he played baseball and soccer. He loved working out at his home gym that he had created and walking his dogs. Tony will be dearly missed.
