Anna Jane Ojeda

Anna J. Ojeda, 63, of Elkhart, passed away after an extended illness, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.

Anna was born on June 20, 1959 in Sinton, TX to the late Arturo Escamilla and Irma (Carreon) Escamilla.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Arnold Escamilla and Annbelle Carreon-Trujillo.

Anna is survived by her daughters, Olga Harding of Florida, Sanea Escamilla of Saginaw, MI and Diana Escamilla of Elkhart; a son, Oscar Escamilla of Mt. Pleasant, MI; brothers and sisters, Arlene (Robin) Wagner, Arturo Escamilla, Angie Escamilla, Timoteo Escamilla, Roel (Julie) Escamilla, Albert (Guadalupe) Gracia, Judy Castillo and Norma Gonzales; brother-in-law, Valentin Trujillo; grandchildren, Christopher, Alex , Jordan, Angel, Andrea, James, Alexandra, Mateo, Joslyn, Gabriella, Ly, Jr., Jordyn, Delvonn, Samyah, Dillon, D’Angelo, Devin, Nylah, Quen’toria; special great nephew, George and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.

Anna loved spending time with her family and visiting family in Florida. In spare time, Anna enjoyed coloring, shopping and going on social media. She loved being the center of attention and pampering herself. She was a strong woman and will be greatly missed for her big personality and no filter.  

A Celebration of Anna’s life will be held at 3:00pm EST, on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating.

Gathering for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home.
