Life Story

Allen L. Hatton, 69, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart. He was born in South Bend, IN on April 26, 1951 to the late William Ray and Juanita (Stahly) Hatton.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Debi Hatton; son, Allen (Amanda) Hatton; daughter, Barbara Hatton; granddaughters, Piper Hatton and Penny Galvan; and brothers, Clarence and Bill Hatton. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Hatton; and sister, Lucille.

In accordance with his family’s wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart.

Allen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a sense of humor. He worked locally in the Elkhart area as a mechanic and was an avid motorcyclist. Allen enjoyed working on his cars and enjoyed watching Nascar, especially whenever Jeff Gordon raced. He was married to the love of his life, Debi Richardson, on July 20, 1987 and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage together. Allen enjoyed spending time and cracking jokes with his children, but especially enjoyed being a grandfather to his loving granddaughters. He will be missed greatly by his loving family and many friends.
