ELKHART -- Zoda May Hobbs, 81, of Elkhart, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born on March 10, 1929, in Jackson Township, to the late Gerald H. and Louise (Clark) Hewitt.
She married Robert C. Hobbs in 1944 in Elwood and he died in 1981 in Fort Wayne.
Surviving are her daughters, Sheila M. (Bill) Justus of Cornersville, Tenn., Carla K. Smith of Bristol and Vickie A. (Paul) Akers of Warsaw. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the noon Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart .
Pastor Marjorie Braden will officiate with private burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.
Zoda worked at Geimeinhardt Co. in Elkhart for more than 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, doing embroidery work and was a wonderful cook.
