Winnie E. Miller, 91, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born in Elkhart on May 31, 1931, to the late Charles and Myrtle (Wise) Puterbaugh.

Winnie is survived by her children, Jeffrey Alan Miller and Anita Marie (Gerald) Hochstetler; grandchildren, Jennifer Cook, Jamie Hochstetler, and Justin Miller; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russel C. Miller; parents, and brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren, 24955 Co Rd 24, Elkhart, IN 46517 where Winnie was a life-long attender. Pastor Frank Ramirez will officiate the funeral service at 1 pm followed by a procession to Prairie Street Cemetery for interment. Billings Funeral Home has assisted the family with services.

Winnie was a 1949 graduate of Concord High School. She and her close high school friends continued those relationships for many years. The friendships she developed during her 22 years of employment at Sears resulted in frequent gatherings with co-workers. Winnie's love of the outdoors was expressed through her camping trips with her husband and children, and tending her flower gardens. She will be dearly missed.
