ELKHART -- Wilma Louise (Keller) Tony, 79, of Elkhart, died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 27, 2009) in her home.

She was born Aug. 10, 1930, in LaGrange to Clarence and Roxie (Shafer) Keller. On Jan. 1, 1949, she married John F. Tony Jr. in Fort Wayne. He died in April 2009.

Mrs. Tony is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Mike) Grathen of Elkhart and Kathy Smith of Oceanside, Calif.; two sons, Steven (Kathy) Tony and Randy (Linda) Tony, both of Goshen; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia "Patsy" Mickem of LaGrange.

She was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert, Jack and Betty Keller and Phyllis Clark.

Mrs. Tony was employed as a school crossing guard for 25 years by the Elkhart Police Department and went on to work several years as a meter maid for the department. She was an avid flower gardener and could always be found working in the flower beds outside her home. She was family oriented and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where the funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor Rob Meckley of Adamsville Road Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
