Obituary
ELKHART — Willie R. "Bill" Roberts, 67, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Elkhart Hospice House.
On April 18, 1970, he married Deborah K. (Borders) Roberts. She survives at home.
Other survivors include a daughter Amy (Chris) Hillegonds of Wakarusa; sister Mae (Arcie) Whitaker of Jenkins, Ky.; and aunt Myrl Brown of Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was a 1963 graduate of Jimtown High School and later served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years.
He was employed at Whitehall Laboratories for more than 12 years.
The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Ed Ritchie of Elkhart County Community Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. The U.S. Air Force and Elkhart DAV Chapter 19 will render graveside military honors.
