ELKHART — Willie Lee Bell Sr., 70, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 17, 1942, to the late Ollie L. Bell Sr. and Edith (Johnson) Bell in Dyersburg, Tenn.
Survivors include sons Eddie (Tammy) Words of Houston, Willie L. Bell Jr. of Elkhart and Steven Halliburton of Warsaw; brother Bobby Bell of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Willie was employed as a custodian with Elkhart Community Schools for more than 15 years prior to his retirement in 1985.
He enjoyed spending time building model cars and planes, watching movies and listening to jazz music.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to an 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Lefate Owens will officiate. Interment will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.
