FRENCH LICK — William W. Westlake, 78, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest Friday, Sept. 16, at Valley Meadows in French Lick.
He was born, in Elkhart, Jan. 1, 1938, to Howard Westlake and Clara (Ritchie) Westlake.
William married Janis Welmer Sheffield of Shoals and she survives. He is also survived by sons Timothy Westlake of Stockton, Ga. and Todd (Veronica) Westlake of Royce City, Texas; daughters Kimberly (Mike) Scott of Sachse, Texas and Kristin (Craig) Morehead of Elkhart; brothers John Westlake of White Pigeon, Mich. and David Westlake of Elkhart; sisters Clara Sue (Hall) Loucks of Florida and Joyce (Perry) Tubbs of Elkhart. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard "Buck" Westlake, Harvey Westlake and Tom Westlake and two sisters, Juanita Myrick and Joy Mapes.
He retired from the CTS Corp. after many years of employment.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Sept 23, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation in memory of William.
