He was born Sept. 4, 1941, in New York City to William V. and Olivia (Anderson) Marcin Sr. He married JoAnn Colver on Sept. 30, 1989, in Goshen.
She survives along with two sons, Rick (Amy) Colver of Conyers, Ga., and Bill Marcin III of Elkhart; two daughters, Debra Foltz of Oregon and Kim (Bert) Crase of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and one brother, Ron (Autumn) Marcin of Edwardsburg, Mich.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Friends also may call one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Tuesday funeral service at the funeral home. Pastor David M. Bibbee of Creekside Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial with military honors by DAV Chapter 19 and U.S. Air Force burial honors detail will follow in the veterans section of Prairie Street Cemetery.
Mr. Marcin worked as an inspector at Keystone RV and had worked at Patriot Homes Inc. for five years. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran. Along with his wife, he was a member of the Corvette Cheers Club for 10 years. Mr. Marcin enjoyed yard work and was quite the handyman.
