Obituary

Mr. William Darrell Lou "Will" Hensley, 43, of Elkhart, was discovered deceased near an address on Bridge Street in Elkhart on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 10:00 am. He had been reported missing since late last year.

He was born in Dallas, Texas on May 11, 1980, to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hensley.

Surviving Will is his spouse Starr E. (Clark) Hensley; children Dallas and Nevaeh Hensley, both living at home and Javonte Hensley of Elkhart and Olivia Hensley of Georgia; siblings Jason and Stephanie Hensley; both of Elkhart; and a huge host of extended family, good friends, teammates and fans.

Will was a semi-professional football player who represented several teams over his 13- year span as a player in the Michiana area. He was best known for his affiliation with the Michiana ThunderHawks and had quite a following on and off the field. He was very athletically talented, and enjoyed nothing more than seeing his own kids participate in sports events of their own.

He also had a really developed sense of humor, and loved nothing more than to make people laugh, especially when they were least expecting it.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation is to take place with the assistance and direction of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Elkhart. No immediate services have been scheduled at this time.

Memorial donations given in Will's memory may be presented to Starr.
