ELKHART -- William Fisher, 72, of Elkhart, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Monday (July 19, 2010) in East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born July 27, 1937, in Elkhart to Ben and Myrtle J. (Wiser) Fisher.

Surviving are brother Andrew (Cheryl) Fisher of Elkhart; three sisters, Linda and Elizabeth Fisher, both of Elkhart, and Florence Smith of Barbourville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

He had been employed with Madden Manufacturing Inc. for several years prior to his retirement.

No formal services have been scheduled and his cremated remains will be scattered in his favorite private location at a later date, per his request.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with the arrangements.
