Obituary
ELKHART — William G. "Bill" Schwab, 89, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, June 14, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Wawaka, to Frank and Albertine (Gerver) Schwab.
On Oct. 14, 1950, he married his wife of 65 years, Patricia J. "Patsy" (Wedge) Schwab.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Michael (Patricia Tomlinson) Schwab of Elkhart and Timothy Schwab of Ashville, N.C.; one daughter, Lee Ann (Stanley) Hoover of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Schwab; one brother, Philip Schwab, and one grandson, Clayton Schwab.
Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed as a tool and die maker for more than 45 years prior to his retirement.
Graveside services with military rites will be in Prairie Street Cemetery at a later date.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Bill.
