William V. "Bill" Persic, Jr., 85, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Harmony at Elkhart Assisted Living. He was born on April 29, 1939, in Cleveland, OH, to the late William Sr. and Lurlyn (McCabe) Persic. On June 17, 1978, Bill married the love of his life, Joyce D. Bielby, in Elkhart. The couple spent 44 wonderful years together before Joyce's passing on October 10, 2021.

Bill is survived by his son, Christopher Persic of McKees Rocks, PA; stepdaughter, Susan "Sue" (Tom) McNeill of Goshen; grandchildren, Ryan (Stacy) and Mike (Heather) Love, and Brie and Jessica Shipkowski; stepsister, Claudia Vanglist; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by his stepfather, J. T. McGregor; stepsons, David L. "Doc" Holliday, and Steven S. Holliday; stepdaughter, Kimberly Shipkowski; and sister, Christine Oerton.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation has been chosen and no services are to be held at this time. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bill proudly worked as a realtor in the area and owned and operated his business, Persic Realty, for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed going out to golf on the green, reading a novel or two, and being out on the water fishing alongside his wife, Joyce. The couple also enjoyed vacationing and boat cruising together, proudly traveling around the United States side by side.

Bill, along with all the love and joy he shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched throughout his life.
