Obituary
ELKHART -- William K. "Bill" Chaffin, 65, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Bill was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Ashville, Ohio, to Jesse and Catherine (Rose) Chaffin. On April 16, 1976, he married Mary A. (Cordle) Chaffin in Portsmouth, Ohio. She passed away June 9, 2007, in Elkhart.
Survivors include three sons, Nevel E. Reynolds III of Elkhart and Jerry L. Reynolds and Dwayne R. (Norma) Reynolds, both of Union, Mich.; daughter Teresa (Fred) Fleming of Elkhart; brother Paul Chaffin of Circleville, Ohio; three sisters, Mary (Danny) Phipps of Elkhart, Sue Chaffin of Circleville, Ohio, and Janet Sexton of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Chaffin.
Bill was employed as a driver with Accra-Pac (now KIK Enterprises) for more than 20 years before retirement. He enjoyed going to auctions, storytelling, playing Uno, and watching football and old western movies.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor James Pettit will officiate.
