William "Bill" A. Ludlow, 65, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at his home.

William was born on November 5, 1957 in South Bend to the late Milton Emmer Ludlow and Joan Mae (Frasemer) Ludlow.

Bill is survived by his children, Nicholas "Nick" A. Ludlow and Christina Lee Castro, both formerly of Elkhart; brother and sister, Steve (Nicole) Ludlow and Kathy Merkle, also of Elkhart; grandchildren, Jose Antonio Castro and Ashley Pope Miller; great grandchildren, Aiden, Logan, Ryder and Mercilynn and mother of his children, Bonnie Eggleston of Elkhart.

Bill's life revolved around helping people. He was also proud of 40 years of sobriety and was a proponent of Alcoholics Anonymous. From volunteering at the local food banks to supporting worthy causes such as stopping human trafficking, Bill would embrace the cause with his whole being. He wanted to leave a lasting mark in the world, and he certainly accomplished his goal.

Bill was a huge "car guy". He enjoyed daily drives and watched any Nascar race that he knew about.

Bill had a smile and laugh that was contagious. Everyone was his best friend!

Most of all, he loved being there for his grandkids.

A Funeral Service for Bill will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 3:00pm EST., at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Nancy Bennett presiding.

A visitation with family and friends will be 2 hours prior to the start of the service from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
