Wendy Joi Lofton, 69, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Wendy was born on September 8, 1954 in Chicago, IL  to the late Thomas Stubbs and Kathleen A. Hill.

Wendy is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Mott; sister, Cathy Mott and son-in-law, Ronnie Boothe.

Wendy is survived by her daughter, Dionna K. Boothe of Elkhart; son, Michael Mott; brother, Freddy Mott; grandchildren, Alicha Taylor, Dominique Brown, Divine Boothe and Ronnie Boothe; 2 great grandchildren, Le-Ray Brown and Davinya Brown.

Wendy was a hard worker and put herself through college. She started working at Memorial Hospital in South Bend and she was a registered nurse for many years. Wendy also worked in the R.V. industry and ACE cab. Wendy volunteered to cook and deliver food for the needy.

In her spare time, Wendy enjoyed going to the casino. She was very proud to have travelled in her R.V. to visit almost every state in the continental U.S.A. Wendy was a talented seamstress even designing her daughter's wedding dress.

Wendy was a sweet and outgoing lady who never met a stranger.

A Memorial Service will take place at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at a later date.
