ELKHART — W. Bernice Mangus, 84, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, April 19, in her residence.
She was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Pall Mall, Tenn., to Dennis "Byrd" and Ina (Williams) Hull.
On Feb. 26, 1987, she married Everett E. Mangus in Elkhart.
In addition to her husband, other survivors include two sons, Kendall Hinds of Elkhart and Randall (Carolyn) Hinds of Las Vegas; daughter Marilyn Walter of Elkhart; two brothers, Billy K. (Margaret) Huff of Pall Mall and Johnnie Huff of Elkhart; three sisters, Lee West of Houston, Virginia Weaver of Jamestown, Tenn.,and Margaret (Gary) Wood of Pall Mall; sister-in-law Bobbie Jo Huff of Pall Mall; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Beecher and Eugene Huff; and two brothers-in-law, Renick West and Lannie Weaver.
Bernice was a member of Elkhart Victory Chapel and DAV Chapter 19 Women's Auxiliary
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m, today, Tuesday, Apri l 22, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, at Jennings Funeral Home, 414 N. Main St., Jamestown, Tenn. Burial will follow in Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown.
