Obituary
ELKHART — Wayne R. Good, 77, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, at Golden Living Center.
Wayne was born May 25, 1937, in Elkhart, to the late Loren L. and Lillie Belle (Hegner) Good.
He married Nancy Hogendobler on Feb. 17, 1962. She died July 12, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Steve Good of Elkhart, and daughter Jackie (John) Sembach of San Diego.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald, Harold and infant Howard Good; and sisters Dorothy Stroh and Margaret Smoker.
Wayne worked at Domore Office Furniture in Elkhart in the spray painting and wood finishing department. He formerly worked in security for Tri-State Protection.
Wayne was a 1956 graduate of Elkhart High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1961. Wayne attended Northside Baptist Church and sang in the choir. He was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed collecting lighthouses.
Friends may call for an hour prior to the 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home. Pastor Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church will officiate. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honor Guard and Osceola American Legion Post 308 will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be given to the family.
