We are not all born with the same gifts and potential. Though life dealt Wayne many challenges, he remained a gentle soul. The love of his family may have been the only constant he had in life. In his own way, he shared tremendous love and concern for his friends and family. We miss you, rest in peace, Bucky. You're His now. Then again, you always were.
Wayne asked Father Edward of Fort Wayne to anoint him and was given plenary indulgence.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Wayne's life will begin at 11 a.m. with calling for an hour prior Thursday, March 5, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Jason Freiburger will officiate. Private family burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Ill.
Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice Care or to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home.
