He was born Feb. 3, 1960, in Elkhart to William E. and Celia M. (Patterson) Danner.

His mother survives in Elkhart along with two daughters, Shatara Pratcher of Indianapolis and Isha Pratcher of Elkhart; two grandchildren; one brother, Garry A. Danner of Knoxville, Tenn.; five half-brothers; one half-sister and his grandmother, Marie Williams of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his father; a grandmother, Lorene Hutcherson; and one nephew, Sulvester Hines.

Friends may call one hour prior to Tuesday's 11 a.m. funeral service at Canaan Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Theodis Hadley will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Danner was a 1978 graduate of Elkhart Central High School, where he played football and basketball. He attended Alabama State University and Atlanta Junior College. He formerly worked for Forge Industrial Staffing and at Godfrey Marine, both of Elkhart. He was an avid sports fan who was very knowledgeable about sports.
