ELKHART, Ind. — Wanda Van De Mark, 89, of Elkhart, passed into the arms of Jesus at home on Monday, January 23, 2017. Wanda was born on October 7, 1927 in Alton, Ill to Lewis Edgar Hetzer and Rose Pearl (Romans) Hetzer. She married Paul Van De Mark on September 2, 1972, in Elkhart, IN He survives along with Wanda's children; Jackie (Dennis) Nichols, Corinth, KY, Guy Drum, Elkhart, Sherry (Tony Workman, London, KY, Arthur (Lisa) Van De Mark, Corbin, KY and Donna Ingerman, Owensboro, KY. Also surviving is her grandchildren; Fred Lucky II, Tina (Andy) Williams, Lanora (Buddy) King, Jim (Joanne) Aldridge, Sherry (Russell) Duckworth, Teyana Workman, Cody Van De Mark, Devin (Steph) Van De Mark, Collin (Kayla) Van De Mark, Dustin Stokes and Amanda Chinn; 31 great grandchildren and 39 great-great grandchildren. Preceding Wanda in death is her children; Eva A., Donald , Gregory, Eugene Drum and Pamela Drum Hammon; great granddaughter, Scarlet M. Van De Mark; 7 brothers, William Dean, Marion E., James, Del Stanley, Lewis Donald, Harold and Victor Hetzer; 2 sisters, Viola Maxine Hetzer Hall and Norma Christine Hetzer Kimmerling. Wanda graduated from Toledo (Ill.) High School in 1945. During her life she worked for various electronic firms including Philco and General Electric. She retired in 1992 after working ten years at Accra Pac in Elkhart. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting mushrooms. She was an avid gardener and loved all kinds of flowers. Wanda also enjoyed playing with all of her dogs. Billings Funeral Home is honored to have a visitation for Wanda on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. celebration of life service on Friday, January 27, 2017.
