ELKHART — Wanda I. "Auntie Wanda" Sherrod, 63, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at her home of natural causes on Monday, July 2, 2018.

She was born Dec. 25, 1954, in Chicago, to the late Inell J. Orosco.

She is survived by her children Pam, Steven, Kizzie, Franklin, John and Inell Sherrod; sisters Jeffra Sherrod, Robin Covington-Dixon and Jackie Bradley, and a host of grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with the family's wishes, a celebration of her life will be at a later date.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with care and arrangements.

Auntie Wanda was a loving and God-fearing homemaker and mother who believed in treating everyone with respect and dignity.

She attended Elkhart's Community Baptist Church, enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and will be best remembered for her beautiful smile and easy-going friendly manner.
