She was born April 21, 1926, in Morrison, Tenn., to Velma (Freeze) Beghtel. On Feb. 28, 1946, in Goshen, she married Don L. Hart.

He survives along with two sons, Jon (Connie) and Steven (Vicki) Hart, both of Elkhart; one daughter, Jeri (Doug) Lenaburg of Elkhart; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Snell of Elkhart.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday funeral service, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor David Hudson, Elkhart General Hospital chaplain, will officiate and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.

Mrs. Hart was a homemaker and wife and enjoyed being a grandmother. She enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling and tending to her garden flowers. She was a 1945 graduate of Elkhart High School.
