Walter "Wally" A. Repaich, 73, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen.

Walter was born on January 7, 1948 to the late Eli and Lorraine (Dust) Repaich in Chicago, IL.

Walter is survived by his two sons, T.J. (Carrie) Repaich of Bristol and Travis Repaich of Elkhart; grandchildren, Ali, Caleb, Emily, Joshua, Kenzie and Kayden; brother, Andy (Becky) Repaich of Elkhart and sister, Julie Grubb of Colorado.

Walter was a graduate of Bristol High School. He honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Bristol American Legion Post 143 where he served as past commander.

Walter enjoyed taking to the open road and riding his Harley. His ride to a Bike Rally in Sturgis, MI was legendary, prompting his son, T.J. and soon to be daughter-in-law, Carrie reschedule their wedding. Walter was also a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.).

He was an avid fisherman and looked forward to spending the weekend on Lake Erie landing that special walleye.

Walter was a "jack of all trades"  and he had a tool collection that would put any hardware store to shame.

Most of all, Walter was a loving and supportive grandfather. He was full of life and always had a great sense of humor.

A Gathering of family and friends for Walter will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.

A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol. Billings Funeral Home is honored to serve the Repaich family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Bristol American Legion Post 143, 905 Maple St., Bristol, IN 46507.
