On July 19, 2024, The Lord led Walter Charles Harper peacefully home.

Walter, also known as "Walt or Charley", was born on February 21, 1946 in Carlisle, KY to John E. Harper and Christine Robinson Harper.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother, Dennis Wayne.

Walter was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country.  He loved to talk and could always think of one more thing to say.  He adored his family and was overjoyed to spend time with his grandbabies.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Della Harper of the home; sons, Richard "Rick" Harper (Renee) and Michael Harper (Donna); three grandchildren, Elizabeth Harper Dunn, Brooke Harper and Jesse Harper; three great grandkids, Kyleigh Hardison, Silas Dunn, Charley Mae Dunn (his namesake), and one on the way; and his two aunts, Eva Harper and Vivian Harper.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Stedman Baptist Church, where he was a past member for 20 years.  Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00 PM at the church Monday prior to the service.  He will be laid in his final resting place immediately following the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the rendering of military honors.
