Virginia Lee Roberts, 94, of Elkhart, was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart. She was born in Trumann, Arkansas on March 2, 1931, to the late Harry and Estella (Taylor) Woods.

Virginia is also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arlie R. Roberts; sisters, Viva Long and Myrtle Davies; three half-brothers; and three half-sisters. She is survived by her children, Janice (Robert) Holdeman and Keith Roberts; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Price officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens for a private burial.

Virginia worked as a shipping clerk at Selmers for 26 years prior to retiring. She attended Goshen Church of Christ where she made quilts alongside other women from the church to raise funds for the Shultz Lewis Children's Home. Virginia was a sweet and caring lady who enjoyed the simple things in life; Family, Friends, and Church.

She loved to bake and cook many delicious meals for her family and in her earlier years, she would garden alongside her husband, Arlie. They would grow tomatoes, green beans, and tend to her rose bushes. Virginia enjoyed caning her vegetables and peaches. She learned to make applesauce and would share cans of her homemade treat. Virginia will be dearly missed by her loving family and by all those she impacted with her kind heart.
