Obituary
ELKHART — Virginia "Ginny" Jordan, 82, formerly of Chicago and Highland Park, Ill., passed away Jan. 16 in Elkhart.
Ginny, the much loved mother of Kate, Nora, David and the late Rick Jordan, and sister of Robert Tunison, spent many years as an art consultant in Chicago and helped create the Percent-for-Art Ordinance there, ensuring art budgeting for public buildings and spaces.
In Elkhart, Ginny volunteered at The Midwest Museum of American Art and Ruthmere Museum.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made in her name at www.Marwen.org for a program providing art classes to under-served Chicago youth.
Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home.
