She was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Goshen to Warren and Ethel (Elliott) Sayles.

She is survived by three daughters, Sue (Tom) VanWinkle and Nancy Harris, both of Elkhart, and Vicki (Bobby) Briggs of Middlebury; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Philip Wilfret; two brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call two hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Roger Dickson of Trinity Praise and Worship Assembly will officiate. Cremation will follow services.

Ms. Cole was formerly employed as a waitress at Gropps in Elkhart and the Diner in Goshen. She enjoyed shopping and playing bingo at Rosewood Terrace.
