Virgie "Jean" Forbes 85 of Bristol, Indiana died on June 22, 2025 at her home after a brief illness.

Jean was born on September 9, 1939 in Blakely, W.Va. She married the late, Dewey C. Forbes in Hugheston, WV on May 4, 1957.

Jean is survived by two sons, Cary Forbes and Dana Forbes, both from Bristol, IN, two daughters, Cheryl Reyff of Middlebury, IN and Crystal Boling (Maynard Boling) of Elkhart, IN, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Also surviving, two sisters Jackie Young of Union, KY and Janet Johnson of Charleston, WV and one sister-in-law, Leatha DePugh of London, WV.

Jean was a longtime member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bristol IN.

Jean's  hobbies included cryptogram puzzles, watching Perry Mason and going with her friends to weekly service or luncheons. She loved making broccoli salad, macaroni salad and zucchini bread for gatherings.
