Violet Moore-Webb, 89, of Elkhart, passed away with family at her side on Thursday, August 20,2020 at her home.
Violet was born in McDowell, KY on February 11, 1931 to the late, Lenze and Emma Moore. She married Elmon Webb on April 25, 1950. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmon, brothers, Charles, David, William and Jackie, sisters, Sharon, Phyllis and Ruby.
Violet is survived by her children, Linda M. Schlabach, Steven E. (Norma) Webb, Lenz D. (Christine) Webb, and Lesa K. (Timothy) O'Brien, all of Elkhart; brothers, Benny (Brenda) Moore and Larry Moore; sisters, Betty Hall and Myrtle Jean Garman; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Violet worked as a housekeeping supervisor at Red Roof Inn for over 20 years. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church for 54 years. Violet loved her church and taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed gardening and loved birds. Violet was a good Christian woman, who was kind and witty and always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Funeral to celebrate Violet's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church, 53980 C.R. 17, Bristol, IN with Pastor Mike Quirey presiding. There will be visitation for 2 hours prior to the service from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
