Viola M. Cummins, 96, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Wolf Point, Montana on June 19, 1929, to the late George and Lousia (Munsch) Naasz.

Viola was also preceded in death by her husband, Al Cummins; children, Roger White and Margaret Chase. She is survived by her son, Lance Naasz; grandchildren, Dustin Naasz and Jessica Chase; and one great grandchild.

In accordance with Viola's wishes, cremation was chosen and took place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Viola was a very independent woman who worked at the Cottage Inn for many years. In her youth she was known by many as the "Rodeo Queen" in Montana where she lived. As she settled down in Elkhart, she enjoyed spending time with her family and making every holiday feel special. Viola will be dearly missed.
