She was born March 19, 1955, in South Bend to Bill G. and Beulah I. "Bee" (Stacy) Helsel. On Jan. 30, 1999, in Elkhart, she married Lorenzo Moncada.

She is survived by three daughters, Kelly G. (Rick) Phillips of Niles, Mich., and Alicia L. (Kyle) Roose and Sheryl D. Greenman, both of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Beverly A. (Brian) Palmer of Elkhart; one brother, Billy G. (Linda) Helsel Jr. of Clermont, Fla.; and her parents of Elkhart.

Friends may call one hour prior to the noon Saturday funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Dale Turner will officiate. Cremation will follow the services, with the cremains to be placed in a memorial tower in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Moncada was a homemaker and took great pride in her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts (especially decorating hats) and was very talented in the kitchen. She was always considered a giving person and always willing to help her family and friends.
