Victor Horace Gray departed this life on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

A son of the late, Deacon Leo Willoughby and Marvelean "Morgan" Gray was born May 16, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Marvelean "Morgan; three children, Tara Conner, Micah Jackson and Stacy Hernandez; his siblings, Yolanda Albey, Roderick Morgan, Delindio Morgan, Alma Sain, Dallas Baskin, Hugh Baskin, Belinda Baskin and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two uncles, Horace and Richard Gray and many friends.

He spent most of his childhood in Indianapolis before relocating to Elkhart, IN in June of 1969. Victor graduated from Memorial High School in 1976.

Victor honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He served a tour in Texas and Germany. After his service in the Army, Victor was a recruiter for the National Guard.

Victor was employed at Goshen Rubber, Skyline and several nursing homes in the area. On the weekends, he would root for his Chicago Bears. Also, Victor enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Family was everything and he loved family gatherings. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and you always knew where you stood with him.

The family of Victor wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many comforting prayers, messages, cards, flowers, calls and all other expressions of kindness and concerns extended during this time of bereavement.

A Memorial Service for Victor will be held at 1:00 pm EST. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at New Vision of Life, 400 W. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, IN 46517 with Pastor Marvin Pace officiating.

Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
