ELKHART -- Victor Wayne "Pops" Cotrel, 66, of Elkhart, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 20, 2009) in his home.
He was born June 2, 1942, in Springfield, Mo., to Phillip and Dorothy (Pine) Cotrel.
Mr. Cotrel is survived by one daughter, Lesley (Rex) Campbell of Elkhart; one son, Victor D. Cotrel of Elkhart; three grandchildren; five brothers, Phillip Cotrel of Lebanon, Mo., John (Mary) Cotrel of Mottville, Mich., Donald Roberts of Redwood City, Calif., Harry Cotrel of Elkhart and Darrel Cotrel of Athens, Ga.; and two sisters, Joyce Roberts of Lebanon and Eunie (Joseph) Kalina of Vandalia, Mich.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Ray and Joseph, and one sister, Bonnie.
Mr. Cotrel had worked at Homan Lumber and worked on cars at his home for friends and family. He liked to watch old western movies.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation will follow.
