Velma L. Curtis, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24 at her residence.
Velma was born on Dec. 31, 1925, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Ervin and Gladys (Hendershot) Latshaw.
She was married to Ford W. Morgan, and Wilbur Curtis, both deceased.
Surviving are her children, sons, Clyde W. Morgan, Ernest E. Morgan, Carl M. Morgan, daughters, Linda L. (Clem) Beechy, Carolyn L. (John) Richardson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren survive as well.
In addition to her two husbands, four daughters, Lorna Ann Smith, Diane S, Gibson, Beverly J. Morgan, Becky S. Sperko, two sons, Ford W. Morgan Jr., David P. Morgan, two brothers, Dan and Dick Latshaw and two sisters, Waneta Lamb and Margaret Halder preceded her in death.

Velma moved to Elkhart in 1962 from Battle Creek.
She formerly worked at Continental Can Co. and Penn Controls.
She was also a private duty aide, working with seniors in their homes providing care.
In honoring the family's wishes, cremation was chosen.
Burial will be at a future date at the Newton (Mich.) Township Cemetery.
