ELKHART — Treva A. Jarrett Boss, 95, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday morning, May 6, 2012, at the Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Elkhart to Ernest and Myrtle (Leedy) Russell. She married Ralph Jarrett in June 1940. They later divorced. She then married John Boss on June 18, 1985. He passed away in 1991.
Surviving are her sons, David Jarrett of Goshen and Steve (Suzann) Jarrett of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Robyn Balsingh of Ligonier and Lori Cook of Fort Wayne; two great-granddaughters, Maddy and Emma; stepdaughters Barbara Boss of Elkhart and Peggy Boss of Franklin, Tenn.; and a stepson, John (Mary) Boss of Walnut Creek, Calif.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, W. DeVon Russell.
Mrs. Boss was a 1935 graduate of Elkhart High School, Elkhart Business College and was employed by Martin E. Crow for a number of years. She was also a secretary at the Dunlap E.U.B Church and Concord South Side Elementary School, retiring in 1985. She was a former volunteer at Cheery Corner at Elkhart General Hospital. Treva enjoyed crafts and sewing projects.
No visitation or services are scheduled. At her request, cremation has taken place at Altera Cremation Service under the direction of Billings Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Violett Cemetery.
