ELKHART — Terrell L. "Tery" Frownfelter, 66, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart, following a brief illness.
He was born in Sand Springs, Okla., on Sept. 14, 1948, to the late Ted and Oma G. (Sisk) Frownfelter.
Surviving are his daughter, Macena Frownfelter of Tulsa, Okla.; son Richard "Rich" D. Hunter of Fort Wayne; grandson Donevin R. T. Frownfelter of Tulsa; brother John Frownfelter and sister Linda Smith, both of Tulsa; and a former spouse, Bobbie Frownfelter of Elkhart.
Tery's life will be celebrated with a viewing and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. In accordance with his wishes, cremation is to take place following visitation.
Tery was a service manager at Onan in Elkhart for many years. An avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, he was also a past chapter president of H.O.G. and was a former member of the Simonton Lake Sportsman's Club, Elkhart Moose 599 and Elkhart DAV Post 19. He served proudly in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
