Obituary
ELKHART — Trena J. Bauer, 50, of Elkhart, was found passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born, in Goshen, Nov. 19, 1965, to William "Billy" Douglas of Goshen and the late Sharon (Ratliff) Douglas.
On June 21, 1995, she married Matthew J. Bauer in Elkhart. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her children, Dustin (Monica) Alberts and Alena and Alex Bauer, all of Elkhart; sisters Mitzi (Michael) Bischoff of Michigan and Elyse (Mark) Bontrager of Topeka; brothers Billy Douglas Jr. and Lloyd Tanner, both of Elkhart; and granddaughter Violet Plummer of Elkhart.
In accordance with her wishes, Trena is to be cremated and no immediate services have been planned at this time.
Trena was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and loving on her granddaughter.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
