BRISTOL — Toni K. Legg, 41, of Bristol, passed away following a sudden illness at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 13, 1973, in Elkhart, to Lloyd K. Vance and Rose (Foster) Vance Rippey.
She married Charles H. "Hank" Legg in Elkhart on Jan. 25, 1997. He survives her at home.
Also surviving are her daughter, Cattie-Brie Legg at home; brothers Shannon (Jane) Clements of North Carolina, Walter Clements of Bristol, Cy (Dean) Clements of Elkhart, Robert Clements of Middlebury and Bobby (Barbara) Vance of Elkhart; stepsister Billie Jo (Bruce) Shumway of Elkhart; and her mother, Rose (Stephen) Rippey of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A celebration of Toni's life will be at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart with a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14. In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.
Toni was a devout animal lover. She worked as a technician at Three Points Veterinary Clinic for several years, but recently was employed at Memorial Hospital in South Bend as a phlebotomist. Her caring nature came to her naturally, and she enjoyed doing things for others.
She also loved to read, garden and spend time with her family, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
