ELKHART -- Tommy Wayne Allen, 18, of Elkhart, died at 10:39 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 13, 2009) in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a motor vehicle accident.

He was born March 16, 1991, in Elkhart to Kevin L. Sr. and Lisa M. (Watson) Allen.

His parents survive in Elkhart along with two brothers, Kevin Jr. and Patrick Allen, both of Elkhart; one sister, Christine Allen of Elkhart; grandparents Donna and Paul Rhoades of Cannon, Ky., Charles Watson of Union, Mich., and Deborah Mast of Elkhart; and great-grandparents Barbara Carr and Shirley Murphy, both of Elkhart.

Mr. Allen attended Elkhart Central High School and enjoyed remote control racing, football, working on various cars, attending races at the New Paris Speedway and cheering for his favorite NASCAR driver, Carl Edwards. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rice Cemetery with Capt. Steven Woodard officiating.
