Tom L  Norment 75 passed away after an extended illness. He was born February 10 1949 in Manchester, Tennessee to Thurman (Bernadine) Norment.  He was preceded in death by his wives Donna (2023), Trudy (2014), parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

He is survived by 4 sons, Tommy G (Kathy) Norment of Elkhart IN, Charlie L (Shannon) Norment of Jamestown NC, Brian K (Lisa) Norment of Anna Maria Is FL, Timothy L (Michele) Norment of Elkhart IN.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Brittany Ferrero, Whittany Perry, Sailor Norment, Kraig "K.C." Norment, Colin Norment, Duncan Norment, Stone Norment, Logen Norment, Tyler Norment, Aiden Norment, 10 great-grandchildren.

Tom loved to go garage sailing, thrift store shopping and fixing things. He also loved to have cookouts with family, throwing horseshoes, and most of all fishing.

In accordance with Tom's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.

If someone should ask for me, tell 'em heaven is where I'll be.

I've finished all my life's chores, and now I fish on heaven's shores.

The view is grand and the fishing's great, but I yearn for you as I wait.

I'll save a spot on the river's bend, for all those I call family and friend.

But for now, sail out to sea, and make a cast in memory, to all the good times from the past, so the memories will ever last.

And if the fish no longer bite or seem no longer worth the fight, because it's me that you are missin, don't worry - be glad - I've only gone fishin…
