BRISTOL — Timothy A. "Tim" Chew, 33, of Bristol, passed away suddenly Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Elkhart General Hospital following an unexpected illness.

He was born Aug. 15, 1984, in Elkhart, to Angela (Tom Mosher) Akin of Bristol and Gary A. (Jennifer) Chew of Elkhart and was currently engaged to Angela F. Stone of Bristol.

Also surviving are his sister, Brooke (Sony) Drennin of Bristol; grandparents Charles and Judy Chew of Elkhart; Marion and Pauline Konkle of Union, Michigan; two stepbrothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host Tim's celebration of life services beginning with a viewing there from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, followed by a funeral service at noon Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, with visitation at 11 a.m.

Pastor Justin Moore of the Elkhart Church of God will officiate and cremation will follow the services.

Tim was employed as a guard at Per-Mar Armed Security of Elkhart at the time of his passing, but had also been employed for a time by the University of Notre Dame as well as a groundskeeper.

He was a hardworking family man who loved his family, friends and the outdoors.

When he wasn't working, he could be found camping, mushroom hunting or enjoying a hot tub with his fiancée Angela.

He was also a huge "Call of Duty" video game enthusiast.
