Obituary

Timothy 'Tim' Williams, 77, of Elkhart was born to Willard and Margery (Chester) and spent most of his life in Elkhart until the last couple of years. He spent his childhood running the neighborhood with his cousins and water skiing on the Saint Joe River. After high school, he attended Tri-State University and later was drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served during the Vietnam War and at the Pentagon in Washington DC.  After his time in the service, he became a Firefighter in Fairfax County, VA but after a few years moved back to Elkhart where he and his business partner later opened The Liquor Station, which they owned together for over three decades. Tim married his high school sweetheart Marla (Cinelli) in August of 1966, and they were married for 38 years until her death in 2005. He is survived by his son, Dr. Jonathan (Angelica) Williams of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Jenny (Joe) Fults of Brownsburg, IN, grandson Alexander Williams and brother, Joe Williams. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, sister Cynthia, and beloved son Jeff. Tim lived a very full life and cherished the memories he made with family and friends through the years. He enjoyed watching sports, talking about classic cars, and spending time with family. He had a very witty sense of humor and an infectious laugh that will be missed by all who loved him. At his request, Tim will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a later time with family. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Condolences may be made online at www.billingsfuneralhome.com.
