ELKHART — Timothy A. "Tim" Routson Sr., 56, of Elkhart, passed away at his home at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Elkhart on July 6, 1956, to Larry D. and Dorothy (Ettline) Routson.
Surviving are his sons Shawn D. (Paula) and Timothy A. Jr. (Kristen) Routson, both of Elkhart; sisters Debra K. (Richard) Borosh of Elkhart, Sherry A. (Bill) Salamon of Osceola and Pamela S. (Ed) Patrick of Waterbury, Conn.; brother Jim C. (Dawn Myers) Routson of Michigan; his mother Dorothy Booz of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death.
In accordance with Tim's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services have been scheduled. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
Tim worked at several area manufacturers over the years including Robert Weed Plywood and AACOA of Elkhart and Western Rubber of Goshen. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Memorial donations may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
