Thomas Dale "Tom" Searing, 67, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Brickyard Healthcare's Elkhart Campus. He was born on December 13, 1956, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Robert Searing and Margaret (Hughes) DuPree.

Tom is survived by his children, Virginia (Timothy) Maschman of Daykin, NE, Lacey Schoenbeck of Western, NE, and Katherine Searing of Hebron, NE; grandchildren, Jerry L. Duke III, and Lillian Searing-Oliver, both of Fairbury, NE, Miles C. A., and Cora S. R. Maschman, both of Daykin, NE, Charley Schoenbeck of Western, NE, and Jake Weldy of Elkhart; siblings, Larry (Heather) Oliver of Angola, David (Donna) Belcher, and Donna Belcher Niles, both of Fort Wayne, Doris Belcher Riddle of Bluffton, and Scott Belcher of Pineville, KY; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In accordance with Tom's wishes, cremation has been chosen and graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10 AM at Prairie Street Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Sarber of Billings Funeral Home will officiate.

Tom worked for various companies over the years. He went from Ace Cab, to being a security guard at the old Pierre Moran Mall, to driving straight trucks and semis for different places including Penske. Tom was very proud of all the work he accomplished throughout his life.

In his spare time, Tom was an avid Harley Davidson fan and collected many memorabilia along the way and also collected various US Marshal badges and items, admiring each and every piece. He also enjoyed watching his favorite actors, Clint Eastwood, and John Wayne, who always managed to bring a smile to his face.

Tom will best be remembered as a true comedian at heart and was passionate about making sure to leave a smile on his loved ones' faces.  He, along with all the love and joy he shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched throughout his life.
