WALKERTON — Thomas Edward Matlack, 63, of Walkerton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born March 28, 1951, in Chicago to George S. and Gertrude (Brenon) Matlack.
Survivors include his wife, Doris E. Matlack of Knox; two daughters, Robby (Terry Diedrich) Blodgett of Walkerton and Tina M. Pullins of Watervliet, Mich.; two brothers, George (Joan) Matlack of Buchanan, Mich., and Bob (Sandy) Matlack of Benton Harbor, Mich.; six grandchildren, Thomas Potts, Spencer Potts, Jasmine (Jay Jay Speck) Miller, Jade Miller, Tiffany Pullins and Christina (Tyler) Danneffel; and two great-grandchildren, Amiyah Speck and Madilynn Danneffel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked several years in the construction industry as a carpenter.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services and a private family service will be held at a later date.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
